Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
This position is located in Lancaster, PA.
Full-time, 80 hours hours per two weeks. working vareid shifts either 7:30am to 4:00pm or 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday , no weekends or holidays. Work in a Surgical Specialty office at the Suburban Outpatient Pavilion supporting 16 surgeons(vascular and APC), as you Support vascular Surgeons this position requires ARDMS and RVT certifications . May rotate to Ephrata Specialty Center per business need.

SUMMARY: Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine is currently seeking an Ultrasound Technologist , the candidate must have their vascular certification. The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for daily operations of the sonographic laboratory, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality assessment. Must be willing to work other sites and to do mobile ultrasound.
Perform all diagnostic Ultrasound procedures through proper technique selection according to department policy and procedure. This includes providing Ultrasound services on weekends, holidays, and call as scheduled. , Receives requests, checking for special instructions from the requesting physicians; consults with Radiologists as necessary. Greets patients and actively identifies patient to ensure correct patient and procedure. Explains procedure to patient and family. Completes required documentation of patient history Completes examination and billing as required. Documents technical observations for each procedure and obtains assistance as needed. Evaluate, synthesize, and communicate diagnostic information to the attending physician.
- Graduation from an accredited program for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Certified by the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) in Abdomen, OB/GYN and Vascular Technology (RVT) within 12 months of employment.
- Additional ARDMS specialty registries are encouraged.
- In compliance with ARDMS and/or ARRT continuing education requirements.
- CPR certification.
This position requires a Professional Certification.
