Radiation/Proton Therapist (Full-Time/Day Shift)


Provides radiological care for the purpose and treatment of anatomic and physiological disorders within the Radiation Therapy section of the Department of Radiology.

Job Description

LOCATION: Lancaster, PA (Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute)

HOURS: Full-time, 1.0 FTE, working 40 hours/week, 6a-7p, rotating weekend call.

SIGN-ON BONUS: $7,500 with a 2-year commitment to the organization (for full time positions, external applicants only)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

  • Deliver the prescribed course of radiation therapy and maintain records of the daily treatment as required by the department.

  • Must be able to review patient records, document information to chart the course of treatment and schedule appropriate appointments.

  •  Must be proficient in image acquisition for the purpose of treatment field verification and localization.

  • Requires the ability to perform CT simulation procedures as ordered by the physician including the creation of immobilization devices for the patient.

  • Deliver Proton therapy as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.



  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.

  • ARRT certification required

  • CPR certificate

  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist.
