RN - 5 Frederick General Med/Surg Unit (Full-Time 0.9/Night Shift)

Summary

7p-7a shifts every third weekend, every third holiday

Job Description

Experienced BSN RN sign-on bonus!

5 Frederick is a new 20 bed Unit open since July 2018.  We care for a variety of surgical patients including our specialty of Bariatric Surgery.  We choose to work with this population because we like helping others to improve their health.  The Bariatric Surgery patients are motivated to change their lives.  The Healthy Weight Management program at Lancaster General is comprehensive;  we enjoy being part of the larger team, which includes the outpatient center, physicians and NP. We care for shorter stay surgery patients, such as thyroidectomies and appendectomies.  Another specialty that we are proud of is our complex wound management.  We work closely with several plastic surgeons and we are the resource nurses for Wound VAC’s. We do self-scheduling, work every third weekend and believe in open communication.  We have a nurturing environment for new graduate nurses, while maintaining a depth of experienced RN’s on all shifts.  Our PtCA’s also have a depth of experience and work well together.

Hours: Full-time 0.9 FTE (72 hrs/2 weeks); night shift; 7pm-7am; every 3rd weekend (12-hr shift); every other holiday (8-hr shifts)
