Program Director – Medical Assistant Program
The Division of Health Sciences is seeking a qualified individual to serve as the Program Director of our new Medical Assistant Program. The Program Director will report to the Department Chair of the Health Sciences Associates and Certificate Programs.
The Role of the Medical Assistant Program Director
The Program Director will assume curriculum design, teaching responsibility and the clinical oversight for the program scheduled to begin in 2021. The didactic courses will be delivered as hybrid courses allowing for face-to-face instruction blended with online learning. All laboratory and simulation learning will occur onsite at PA College, 850 Greenfield Road, Lancaster, PA 17601. The Program Director will also provide oversight for the medical assistant externship scheduled for the final semester of the twelve-month program.
The Program Director will also be responsible for:
- Developing the curriculum for the program
- Teaching responsibilities
- Evaluating, managing, and coordinating the clinical education
- Program assessment and program improvement
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday; occasional evening/weekend for recruitment events, etc.
- Associate degree; Bachelor’s preferred
- Credentialed as a Medical Assistant
- Minimum of three (3) years work experience
- Minimum of one (1) year teaching experience
- Experience teaching in an online format is preferred
