HOURS: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) 40hrs/wk; Shifts vary based off of office hours.  General office hours are Monday-Friday 0730-2000 (close) with rotating weekends and holidays. 

This position is for both our Lancaster-City Gate and Lititz-Kissel Hill locations.


  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), issued by the PA State Board of Nursing
  • American Heart Association CPR certification

Office Nurses at Lancaster General Health are an integral part of the healthcare team in our outpatient practices, providing a coordinated and holistic approach to care through our patient centered model.  We partner with the Providers in the delivery of patient care and positively impact the lives of our patients.

      SUMMARY:  Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine is currently seeking an Office Nurse at Roseville Pediatrics.  The Office Nurse provides nursing services to patients at a provider’s office. 


      • Utilizes rooming tools to assist providers in gathering information for specific visits
      • Obtains vitals signs and administers injections and medications as prescribed by the provider and in accordance with department protocol, regulatory requirements and standards of practice
      • Performs Point of Care Testing, including but not limited to hearing and vision screens, Influenza, Urinalysis and Strep Test
      • Collects blood or other laboratory specimens and prepares them for further testing in outside laboratories
      • Assists providers with various procedures, minor surgeries and other exams as designated by the provider
      • Provides patient specific education including but not limited to preventive care, chronic disease management, acute diagnosis, medications and other areas pertinent to patient outcomes
      • Assures exam rooms are adequately supplied and cleaned after each patient visit. Maintains and cleans medical instruments and equipment after each procedure and office visit
      • Provides clinical advice by phone and/or electronic correspondence based on clinical judgments and/or triage protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements and standards of practice. Consults with provider as necessary
      • Reviews and prepares prescription refills for approval by the provider


      • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
      • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), issued by the PA State Board of Nursing is required.
      • CPR Certification required.
      • 1-2 years of nursing experience in a primary or specialty care physician’s office preferred.
      • Prior triage, emergency room, cardiac care, intensive care or other related specialty nursing experience preferred.

      This position requires PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances.

      This position requires a Professional License/Certification.
