Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Walter L. Aument Family Health Center (Part-time)
The Lancaster General Health Physicians Academic region is seeking a part-time APP to join its work and service to the community within the Family Medicine Residency Program at Walter L. Aument Family Health Center. The Outpatient scope of practice would include well child checks, chronic care visits, acute visits, and transition of care visits, via in-person visits or via telemedicine. It is negotiable if the APP would prefer to follow a small continuity patients or build a small patient panel. As Walter Aument conducts about 19,000 patient visits a year and has over 30 clinicians, the additional APP would assist in caring for patients with complex medical problems and significant social determinants of health challenges. Walter Aument also is the home of the continuity practices for the residents and faculty of the nation’s best Family Medicine Residency, providing the APP with ample opportunities for learning and growth.
Hours: Part-time (20 hours/week – 16 hours patient care w/ 4 hours admin time for charting & in-basket work). Primarily evening shift. Monday-Thursday 4pm-8pm with occasional Saturday Morning coverage (Saturday hours are 8-11 am). There are no call requirements with this position.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant by PA Board of Medicine
- Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant training program
- Minimum one-year experience as a Physician Assistant is preferred
- Valid Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license and Certificate of Prescriptive Authority in Pennsylvania
- Valid Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Certification by ANCC or other qualifying agency in area of specialty required
- Minimum one-year experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred
