Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Downtown Family Medicine
The Lancaster General Health Physicians Academic region is seeking a full-time APP to join its work and service to the community within the Family Medicine Residency Program at Family Medicine Downtown in Lancaster, PA. The outpatient scope of practice would include chronic care visits, acute visits, well child checks, and transition of care visits, via in-person visits or via telemedicine. It is negotiable if the APP would build a small continuity patient panel. . As Family Medicine Downtown conducts about 36,000 patient visits a year and has over 50 clinicians, the additional APP would assist in caring for patients with complex medical problems and significant social determinants of health challenges. Family Medicine Downtown is the home of one of the continuity practices for the residents and faculty in the nation’s best Family Medicine Residency, providing the APP with ample opportunities for learning and growth.
Hours: Full-time with hours primarily between 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday. We do anticipate weekend hours and there are no call requirements with this position. One evening clinical session per week could replace normal business hours.
Job Requirements (preferred)
- Valid Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license and Certificate of Prescriptive Authority in Pennsylvania
- Valid Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Certification by ANCC or other qualifying agency in area of specialty required
- Minimum one-year experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant by PA Board of Medicine
- Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant training program
- Minimum one-year experience as a Physician Assistant is preferred
