Job Description

LOCATION: Lancaster, PA

HOURS: Full time (40 Hours per Week), Primarily Day shift 8 am - 4:30pm or 8:30 am - 5 pm, Mon - Fri. Occasional weekends and after hours during testing and go live.

Responsible for management of the integrated Lawson Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Mobile Supply Chain computer system.  Will be responsible for identifying and resolving system operational problems.  Will serve as a liaison between MMIS users and the software vendor.  Will be responsible for training and assisting all MMIS users.  Will be the primary individual responsible to write custom system reports for all MMIS users.  In addition, will coordinate all purchasing contracts to ensure both contract compliance and utilization across Lancaster General.


  • Serves as problem resolution coordinator for daily operational issues with MMIS applications or GHX. Collaborates with MMIS Administrator as needed to achieve resolution. 
  • Utilizes Lawson Spreadsheet Designer tools for contract file upload in ERP system, including price file uploads and revisions as appropriate.
  • Conducts periodic meetings to keep major users informed of changes, new requirements, etc.  Explores alternative solutions to improve efficiency using the test system to perform test runs.
  • Designs and creates reports, monitor usage of reports and approve all recommended changes. Develops reports monitor contract expiration to ensure contract file is up to date. 
  • Develops and implements training and educational programs to educate and train all users in the operation of Lawson Procurement, Requisition Self Serve and Mobile Supply Chain systems.
  • Maintains a comprehensive procedure manual ensuring the input from major users is consistent with the operational requirements of the other departments.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:

  • Recommend and implement operational enhancements that are of beneficial across Lancaster General.
  • Coordinate system testing of upgrades/new releases with Information Technology. Ensures all upgrades/new releases are tested prior to installation.
  • Serves as a back-up resource in the absence of the MMIS Contract Administrator.

  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology or a related field and two (2) to four (4) years of purchasing or financial Information experience


  • In lieu of related Bachelor's degree, minimum of six (6) to ten (10) years of purchasing or financial Information experience
  • Systems analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in data mining to facilitate trending of financial data
  • Demonstrated extensive spreadsheet, word processing and data base experience
  • Strong communication skills


  • Lawson system or other Electronic Requisition Program (ERP) experience preferred
  • Crystal Report Writer Software or other report writing program(s) experience preferred
