Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing Representative/Liaison- Home Health has responsibility for growing revenue and building market share within the Penn Medicine Home Health (PMHH)/Lancaster General Health (LGH) preferred provider network (PPN) including Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing (SNF) Retirement Communities and Physician Practices within their designated territory. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and increasing the business as well as documenting all activities for assigned accounts. The Marketing Representative/Liaison generates new patient activity and develops relationships with referring staff while also  generating measurable improvement in optimal payer mix. This position partners with other Penn Medicine entities to develop the physician referral network in conjunction with the Business Development Department. This position also coordinates community relations, marketing and all other business development activities to generate positive brand recognition and consumer relations in the region.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

  • Ensures patient/customer satisfaction through complete and continuous service recovery activities. Improve satisfaction levels for all key customer groups. Anticipates patient/customer needs and ensure that they are accommodated. Takes action to make up for lapses in service.
  • Works with all Penn Medicine entities and suppliers to develop programs, services and change initiatives that anticipate future customer needs, build customer loyalty and generate growth.
  • Develops and maintains a high level of knowledge and expertise of  all home health and post acute care. Provides accurate information about Home Health services regarding criteria for admission, available services, reimbursement criteria, and insurance coverage including contracted payers and Medicare/Medicaid.
  • Develops and implements sales strategies to capture or increase new business.  Performs prospecting and proposal preparation.  Develops and implements strategies for key accounts within the preferred provider network.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with case management, referral sources and continually monitors for satisfaction. Conducts periodic reports/feedback for referral sources and PMHH administration on referral history and patient statistics.
  • Responsible for positioning Penn Medicine Home Health as the preferred choice in the community for home health services.  Acts as a resource expert to internal and external staff and referral sources on home health services.
  • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Three (3)+ years experience documented, successful sales to physicians, discharge planners, etc, or related experience in healthcare.

  • Valid Driver’s License.

  • Current Auto Insurance.

  • Reliable Car.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required- prefer degree in Marketing, Healthcare, or related field.
  • 1+ year experience in Homecare or Hospice services.
