POSITION SUMMARY: The IT Financial Ops Analyst provides quality, professional, administrative support to the LG IT Department in its overall day-to-day administration of proposed and active projects. The IT Financial Ops Analyst utilizes administrative, quantitative, and business knowledge to independently complete a variety of assignments under general supervision and/or established financial management protocols, working in a team environment. The IT Financial Ops Analyst works closely with the CIO to communicate the current financial status of the Information Services Department and serves in a consultative role to organizational leaders in order to define inputs and review desired financial outputs from IT leadership.

Typical responsibilities include managing multiple projects’ milestones, collecting project status reports, developing excel spreadsheets and databases to track and reconcile capital software budgets versus actual spend, and executive dashboards; developing presentations for senior management including graphics and charts, supporting workshops or project by performing analysis, developing process flows, business requirements, and documentation; making recommendations on significant or complex business issues after considering various independently analyzed alternatives. This role must maintain a positive working relationship with project teams, clients, and stakeholders across the business unit and IT, and perform other duties and responsibilities as required. Provide departmental financial reporting as defined by the Manager of IT and Novastream Business Operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

  • Complete or create strategic financial models as assigned including, but not limited to, ROI, P&L, Cash Management, Balance Sheets, etc.
  • Develop processes relating to financial capital and operating management for five year strategic plans within the IT enterprise.
  • Plan and organize high level presentations to Leadership.
  • Responsible for maintaining updates to the financial model as products/services change, costs are updated and/or accounting treatment is altered.
  • Reviews completed quarterly time record reconciliation including analysis of actual billings against model forecast.
  • Responsible for high level budget management, including setting budget, interim forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Works with various levels of leadership to understand and distinctly translate current financial data.
  • Maintains a conceptual understanding of all financials presented and any major IT organizational issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining updates to the financial model as products/services change, costs are updated and/or accounting treatment is altered.
  • Responsible for budget management, including setting budget, interim forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Works in conjunction with Accounting and Materials Management to track contracts, including management of contract billing and reconciliation of invoice vs. actual received.
  • The IT Financial Ops Analyst assists the IS Executive Leadership in managing all aspects of project financial administration, including the following key activities:
  • Financial management and program reporting support with primary focus on internal financial and analysis
  • Contract management support
  • Completing complex financial calculations as required
  • Help coordinate the collection of time reporting from projects loaded into Kronos and reconcile data to time entered into application.
  • Troubleshoot financial issues quickly; provide details and clear resolutions as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or another quantitative discipline.
Minimum of four (2) years experience in a financial analysis role.
Minimum of four (2) years experience with financial modeling.
Must demonstrate decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to question freely, and work with all levels of management and clinicians.
Minimum of two (2) years experience with the entire Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; Experience with linking Excel spreadsheets, formulas, and pivot tables;
Experience using software tools to perform analysis, create and edit ad-hoc reports, graphs, and convert information from one format to another.
Ability to develop data reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity.
Ability to quantify and evaluate risk associated with cash flow analysis.
Experience supporting Information Technology projects.
Ability to quickly handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
Outstanding listening skills, attention to detail and adherence to project deadlines.
Experience summarizing results and producing management reports and PowerPoint presentations.
Must be a confident, assertive, organized and well-prepared individual.
Strong secondary research and analysis skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information.
Ability to "think outside the box" while identifying problems and developing creative solutions.

Minimum of six (4) years experience in a financial analysis role.
Minimum of six (4) years experience with financial modeling.
Experience with meeting facilitation.
Experience formulating recommendations into PowerPoint presentations for senior-level department and division management.
