Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Director of Trauma/ED, the Manager is responsible and accountable for the coordination, development, organization, implementation, and evaluation of EMS outreach, prevention, education, and research. This work involves defining the best methods, and forums to identify outreach and prevention needs through the utilization of registry data, research, surveys, raising the visibility of Outreach and Prevention. This role will support all EMS activities including supporting Trauma, Emergency Department, and all key Service lines. This individual will also be responsible for coordination and resolution of EMS issues related to Trauma Service and Stroke Accreditation. The position coordinates these initiatives with the EMS Medical Director. This role is expected to have thorough knowledge of local, regional and state EMS regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma is required.

Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Medical Services or a related Health Care field within two years of assuming position is required.

Must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Pennsylvania Paramedic certification
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the PA State Board of Nursing
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner by the PA State Board of Nursing
  • Current licensure as a Physician Assistant by PA Board of Medicine.

Two (2) to three (3) years management experience is required.

Two (2) to three (3) years of prevention and outreach experience is required.

Five (5) to seven (7) years Trauma or Emergency Medical Services experience is preferred.
