Summary

This position will be relocating to Lititz summer 2020.

POSITION SUMMARY: To provide excellent customer service to all Lancaster General Customers.  Includes being responsible for processing Financial Assistance program documents, updating accounts, processing Financial Assistance adjustments and supporting Financial Assistance team as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

  • Completes assigned work lists and customer correspondence weekly.
  • Informs supervisor of all potential problems and issue immediately.
  • Resolves conflict to achieve the best solution with team members.
  • Uses ethical behavior with all internal and external customers.
  • Ability to perform processes, including but not limited to, batching Financial Assistance correspondence/documents, processing Financial Assistance adjustments, processing Financial Assistance determination correspondence, updating accounts.
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and maintains compliancy in all collection efforts.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:

  • Processes and follows special accounts.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by Team Leader.


JOB REQUIREMENTS


MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years Customer Service experience in healthcare.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to apply strong analytical qualities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Billing and account resolution experience.
  • Automated systems experience.
