Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is hiring cooks to prepare meals for our patients, visitors and staff in our newly renovated, state of the art kitchen and café in Lancaster, PA. Our Cooks are a vital part of the patient care team and play a key role in the overall patient experience. Cook positions offer a sign on bonus up to $2,000. Eligibility rules apply. Full and part-time positions are available across all shifts.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals according to recipes
Check food for proper taste, texture, appearance, temperature and quality, throughout the preparation holding and serving process
Ensure proper labeling, dating, and rotation of stock
Maintain production areas and equipment in an orderly, clean and sanitary condition
All other duties as assigned in accordance with the job description

What We Require for this Role:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Cooking experience, including hot production (2 years), cold food prep (1 year) and volume cooking (1 year)
