Benefits Summary

A brief synopsis of some of our benefit offerings are outlined below, most of which are offered at no cost to our employees.
 

HEALTH AND WELFARE BENEFITS
 
HEALTH BENEFIT PROGRAM:
Choice of traditional PPO provider or high deductible health program with corresponding Health Savings Account. Both programs provide in-patient, out-patient, behavioral health and prescription drug coverage.
 
DENTAL PROGRAM:
Coverage is available for preventive, simple restorative, major restorative and orthodontia dental procedures.
 
VISION PROGRAM:
Coverage is available for vision exam, frame(s), lenses and contacts.
 
FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS:
This program allows employees to use pre-tax dollars deducted from their pay to help cover eligible out-of-pocket health/dental/vision expenses and dependent care costs.
 
LIFE INSURANCE:
Lancaster General Health provides eligible employees with life insurance coverage at no cost.
 
RETIREMENT INCOME ACCOUNT:
Lancaster General Health will contribute 2% of all eligible compensation, into a Retirement Income Account.

In addition, all employees are enrolled in the Retirement Income Account at a 6% pre-tax contribution rate which LG Health will match 50%.

Employees are vested in employer contributions after the completion of three calendar years of 1,000 or more hours. Annual IRS Plan limits apply to employee contributions.  
 
PAID TIME BANK (PTB):
The Paid Time Bank provides compensation for holidays, personal, short-term or intermittent illness absences and vacation time.
 
SHORT TERM DISABILITY (STD):
Lancaster General Health employees accrue STD hours each pay period. 
 
LONG TERM DISABILITY (LTD):
Lancaster General Health provides employees with LTD for absences greater than 90 consecutive days, due to a disabling illness – at no cost.
 
WORK-LIFE BENEFITS
 
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM:
This program provides confidential counseling services for you and your family members.
 
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE FUND:
This fund provides financial support for employees facing a wide range of temporary circumstances that cause or create personal or family hardships.
 
CONVENIENCE PHARMACY:
Employees are given discounts on prescription drugs, as well as a discount on over-the-counter items, through the LG Health Convenience and Lifecare Pharmacies.
 
VOLUNTARY SHORT TERM DISABILITY:
Employees have the option to purchase additional disability income insurance. This benefit helps to safeguard income in the event of a prolonged illness or injury.
 
VOLUNTARY LIFE INSURANCE PLANS:
Employees may purchase optional life insurance for themselves and their dependents at low group insurance rates.
 
ADDITIONAL DISCOUNTS & BENEFITS:
Free parking, discounted meals at cafeterias, subsidized child care facility, on-site fitness center, free immunizations and health screenings, Home in the City Program, Credit Counseling services, and Auto/Home Insurance discounts.
 
EMPLOYEE SERVICE CENTER:
Offers additional services, such as dry cleaning, internet accessibility, facsimile and copy machines. You may also purchase discounted transit tickets, movie tickets, special show tickets, amusement park tickets, as well as access to additional coupon offers.
