This Nurse Practitioner position is night shift.  Recent acute care cardiology or critical care experience and national NP certification required; previous NP experience preferred.
 

Lancaster, PA, located 65 miles west of Philadelphia, is a mid-size historic city with excellent school systems and easy commutes. Central East Coast location allows quick access to New York, Baltimore and Washington, DC.

SUMMARY: Assumes the management of the patient care of a designated high-risk patient population during an entire episode of illness. Provides ongoing assessment and monitoring of the patient's clinical, functional, and psychosocial status and provides the communication link for coordination of care among the multidisciplinary health care team within and outside the program. Responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of a program of health care services for a defined patient population. The nurse coordinated model is cost effective, accountable and provides quality outcomes.
 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN). Current PA state RN and CRNP licenses. ANA certification in area of specialty.
 

ESSENTIAL JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of professional clinical experience. One (1) year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
 

PREFERRED JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of management experience.

SUMMARY: Functions in an expanded role as a professional nurse, performing acts of medical diagnosis and prescriptions of medical therapeutics or corrective measures, in collaboration with a physician.

REQUIREMENTS: Current PA license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Graduate of Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant training program.

ESSENTIAL JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: Minimum one year experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with previous experience in a psych background preferred. A healthcare provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid and other federal and state health insurance programs, i.e. not excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid or any other federal or state health insurance program.

Responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of a program of health care services for a defined patient population.

Masters degree in Nursing as Family Nurse Practitioner with National Board Certification and Current Registered Nurse licensure with at least 1 (one) year experience in an ambulatory/clinic setting is required. Bilingual skills helpful.
